Documentation
Definition
The vacancy reason explains why the rental object is vacant.
Use
The vacancy reason controls the following:
- For each vacancy reason, you can specify how vacancy postings are made. In addition to a different account determination value, you can select a different account assignment object using a vacancy posting term.
- For each vacancy reason, you can specify that the object is not allowed to be leased-out during the vacancy period.
- Vacancy reasons can be set either by the user, or automatically by the system as the result of defined vacancy events. For example, the event Vacancy Due to Notice can trigger the system to set a vacancy reason.
Vacancy periods are displayed along with occupancy contracts in the occupancy overview of the rental object.
You make settings for the vacancy reason in the Define Vacancy Reasons IMG activity.
