Purpose
You use this report to carry out a mass change of those contract characteristics that are required to valuate the contract in accordance with IFRS. These are the fields for classification, interest rate, frequency, start of consideration, probable end, and memo for valuation data.
Explanation of the "Mass Change of Data" Control Parameter
You can influence the relevance of the characteristic for the selection or change using the following four fields, which exist for each possible characteristic (classification, interest rate, frequency, and so on):
- Relevance Checkbox
If this indicator is set, then the system uses the characteristic, depending on its change type, for the selection and/or for the change.
- Selection Value
Only those contracts are selected that have this value in the relevant characteristic.
- Target Value
This value is transferred to the change list as a new value.
- Change Type
You can use this field to influence how the Selection Value and Target Value fields are used:
- Edit in List
- Selection value and target value are not relevant. The characteristic is transferred to the list with the previous value and can be changed there.
- Keep
- The characteristic is used only for selection. The system selects those contracts that have the value of the Selection Value in the corresponding characteristics.
- Overwrite
- The Selection Value is used for selection; the system copies the value of the Target Value to the corresponding characteristic in the change list.
- Use Target Value Only
- The Selection Value is not relevant for selection. The system copies the value of the Target Value to the corresponding characteristic in the change list.
- Use Target Value Only (Overwrite Only If Initial)
- The Selection Value is not relevant for selection. The system copies the value of the Target Value to the corresponding characteristic in the change list, but only if it had no value up to now.
Explanation of the List
For each contract and contract object, the list shows the level on which the valuation data must be defined (centrally in the contract or at condition level). Indicators are used to display whether the conditions to be valuated refer to the contract, to individual contract objects, or to object groups.
You can enter the IFRS data in the input-ready fields. The fields are ready for input based on the level on which the valuation data is defined. The status icon shows whether field contents have been changed. When you choose the "Save" pushbutton, the data is written to the contracts.
The following functions are also available:
- Log: Displays the selection log with information about which contracts cannot be edited, for example, because they are not relevant for valuation.
- Simulation: Simulates the valuation in accordance with IFRS.
