Definition
In the material master, if the period indicator based on weeks, months or years has been selected for the total shelf life, you can round the shelf life expiration date (SLED), that has been calculated from the production date and total shelf life, to the first or last day of the period chosen.
Examples
Total shelf life in material master = 3
Period indicator in material master = M (month)
Production date, specified at goods receipt = 10.01.1998
=> SLED = 10.01.1998 + 3 months = 10.04.1998
Rounding indicator = MHD = 10.04.1998 (no rounding)
Rounding indicator = '-' = 01.04.1998 (first day of month)
Rounding indicator = '+' = 30.04.1998 (last day of month)
Note: An SLED that has not been calculated, but entered directly in the system, is generally not rounded.
