Order types that can be used as a reference for the creation of a new order type or order types that can be processed.
Identifier allowing differentiation between the different kinds of purchase order in the SAP system.
For example, by means of the order type you can distinguish between a standard purchase order and a stock transport order, even though both documents belong to the order category "purchase order".
The order type controls the number assignment of a purchase order and determines which fields you must maintain.
