Documentation
Definition
Key that identifies a resource in a plant.
Supplementary Documentation - R_RES 4400
Definition
Key specifying the resource that is used as the primary resource of the operation or phase.
Use
The primary resource of an operation or phase is committed for the entire duration of the phases.
You maintain primary resources for internally processed operations.
The primary resource of an operation is automatically copied from the superior operation. You cannot change it in the phase.
The field is not used for externally processed operations.
Dependencies
To be able to use a resource as primary resurce, the following requirements must be met:
- It must have been maintained for the same plant as the master recipe or order.
- It must be released for master recipes and process orders via its usage (see Customizing).
If you have allocated a resource network in the recipe or order header, the following additional restrictions apply:
- You can release orders only if all primary resources are contained in the resource network.
- You can dispatch an operation in the capacity planning table only if a predecessor resource of the resource network has been assigned to the preceding operation and a successor resource has been assigned to a succeeding operation.
The Proces Flow Scheduler (PFS) only takes one capacity category for each resource into account. If you want to use the PFS and require additional capacity categories (such as the labor capacity required at a processing unit), you should represent these categories as secondary resources in your system.
Supplementary Documentation - R_RES 4410
Definition
Key of the resource that is used as the primary resource of the operation or phase.
Supplementary Documentation - R_RES 4460
Definition
Key of the resource that is required as a secondary resource for the operation or phase.
Dependencies
The formulas maintained for the secondary resource must be identical to those for primary resource.
You cannot use secondary resources to represent capacities that you want to use both for primary resources with quantity-dependent formulas and primary resources with quantity-independent formulas.
In this case, you must create a pooled capacity that you allocate to the primary resources along with the required formula in the resource master record.
