Use

A master record can be maintained with different versions. The version number is always assigned by the system.

The system assigns a new version number if:

  • an existing master record is created with a new validity period
  • a master record is changed with history

Procedure

You use this field to specifically identify a master inspection feature.

  • To display a single version, enter the number for the specific version.
  • If you do not enter a version number, the system displays all versions of the selected master inspection feature.

Procedure

The entry in this field allows you to clearly identify a master inspection characteristic.
You have the following options:

  • You enter a version number.
    In this case, when a certificate is created, the inspection lot related characteristic data is only printed if this particular version was used for the inspection.
  • Do not enter a version number.
    In this case, when you create a certificate, the version used in the inspection is always adopted.
  • Use the possible entries help.
    The system then displays all versions of the chosen master inspection characteristic for selection.

Procedure

You use this field to specifically identify the new inspection method. You must enter inspection method number, plant, and version number.

If you select the master inspection feature from the list that you accessed from the menu path Edit => Value set => Char. with method, the system copies over the version number.
