Definition

Use

If you set this indicator, the number of inspected units is defined by the user for results recording.
This number does not have to agree with the precalculated number of inspected units.

Dependencies

In general, the system does not perform a valuation for the inspection characteristic based on the number of nonconforming units or on the number of defects in the sample.

A valuation based on the number of nonconforming units occurs for the following exceptions:

  • The actual number of inspected units does not correspond with the number of precalculated inspected units.
  • The number of inspected units differs from the precalculated number of inspected units, but the number of nonconforming units is so high that the lot is rejected each time even within the precalculated sample size.

If you want to close inspection characteristics automatically using a recording configuration in Customizing, additional restrictions apply based on the number of inspected units.
