Documentation
Definition
Additive offset constant that is added to the entered measured value.
Use
You can enter an offset to simplify the entry of measured values.
Procedure
If you enter an * in the 'Offset' field the system places the default target value in the field. However, you can enter any value you want for the offset. Then enter the difference between the absolute measured value and the offset in the field for confirming the measured value.
NOTE
The system saves and processes the absolute measured values internally. The offset and factor simplify data entry.
Example
You want to confirm the measured values 100.123 and 100.89.
You entered an offset value of 100. You confirm the measured values of 0.123 and 0.89.
You want to confirm the measured value 0.023.
You entered the value 0.02 as the offset and the value 0.001 as the factor.
Conversion: 0.02 + 0.001 * 3 = 0.023
