Definition

Defines the circumstances, in which you must give single approval for inspection lots.

Dependencies

The effectiveness of the indicator depends on whether:

  • A task list requiring approval is assigned.
  • This task list is actually approved.
  • A material specification exists.

Use

Setting ' '

  • No task list is assigned or the assigned task list does not require approval:
    Inspection lot approval is not required.
  • A task list requiring approval is assigned. This task list is:
    • Approved:
      Inspection lot approval occurs automatically.
    • Not approved:
      Individual approval of the inspection lots is required.

Setting '1' or '2'
The following applies, irrespective of whether a task list requiring approval is assigned or is already approved.
A single approval for the inspection lot is required.

If the inspection specifications in the approved task list are supplemented or replaced by a material specification, you can specify that:

  • '1' The approval occurs automatically.
  • '2' A single approval is required.

Comments:

  • You grant or withdraw approvals for inspection lots by changing their status with the help of corresponding functions.
  • Until the inspection lot receives the status 'Approval given', you cannot record results or make a usage decision for this lot.
  • If an inspection lot has a task list not requiring approval, then it has the status 'Approval not given'. A single approval for the inspection lot must then always be given.
  • Material specifications are not subject to an approval procedure. There is therefore a distinction between settings '1' and '2'.
  • If you want to force single approval for inspection lots, choose the identifier '2'; this identifier has the required effect, even if there is no material specification assigned.
