Use
Exponential notation applies to the printing of quantitative values.
If you set this indicator, the values will be printed in exponential notation. This method is recommended for very small values that would normally be represented as a zero in a floating decimal format.
The system automatically prints very large numbers, which cannot be represented otherwise, in exponential notation.
Example
Consider the value 1.602E-19.
You have not set the indicator for exponential notation.
In the floating decimal format, the system outputs a certain maximum number of valid digits only. Considering this, the system outputs the value zero in this example.
