Definition

Key that determines the origin, information content, and other characteristics of the notification

Note that a notification is created in the back-end system when you create a service request in the Web.

You use the notification type to specify whether its scenarios require approval, and you store the name of the person who provides approval.

Note that to continue, you need to define a notification type first. You do this in Customizing under Internal Service Request -> Prepare General Notification -> Notification Creation -> Notification Type -> Define Notification Types.
