Use

  1. If the closed padlock icon is set, the values for the inspection specifications (for example, the specification limits) are copied dynamically into the material specification.

There are two possible scenarios:

  • If there is a link between the master inspection characteristic and a class characteristic in the material specification, the values for the inspection specifications are taken from the material classification.
  • If there is no link between the master inspection characteristic and a class characteristic in the material specification, the values for the inspection specifications are taken from the master inspection characteristic.

In both cases, the corresponding fields in the material specification are not ready for input.

  1. If the open padlock icon is set, you can change the values in the specification and adapt them for each material. The corresponding fields in the material specification are ready for input.
  2. There is no icon in the lines without master inspection characteristics and therefore no values.

Dependencies

You can cancel the reference for master inspection characteristics that are not linked to a class characteristic in the material specification. This allows you to change the values for the relevant material and store them directly in the material specification.

To do this, mark the desired master inspection characteristic and call the function cancel reference.

If you call the function create reference, the values are again copied dynamically from the master inspection characteristic.
