Definition

Indicator for inspection characteristics. This indicator ensures that entries for an inspection characteristic are processed using predefined rules (input processing).

Use

You set this indicator:

• If you want the measured value to be changed after entry
• If you want the measured value to be output with the same number of decimal places as the value entered, independently of settings in the task list or master inspection characteristic.
• If the number of significant characters is not fixed. That is, when the number depends on the actual measured size of the measured value. In this case, the rounding is to be controlled using a significance type that takes this dependency into consideration.
