Documentation
Definition
Defines the sequence for the materials. When certificates are created, the system searches through the materials in this sequence for characteristic data.
Use
If the characteristic data comes from inspections, use the list data origin for characteristics from inspections.
If the characteristic data comes from batches, use the list data origin for characteristics from batches.
Examples
Finished product A was produced from two components B and C. In turn, these components were produced from raw materials D and E.
Characteristic data from the inspection of the raw materials and of component B is to be printed on the certificate for the finished product A.
To achieve this, enter the following in the material list data origin for characteristics from inspections:
No. Material
10 B
20 D
30 E
Dependencies
When the certificate is created, the system determines which batches were actually used in production, with the help of the batch where-used list for the finished product. When selecting the data, the system does not take materials into account that appear in the list of materials, but do not appear in the batch where-used list.
Supplementary Documentation - QCSORTNR 0001
Use
If you make an entry in this field, you reference a specific material in the certificate profile's list of materials. When the system creates the certificate, it does not search for the data for this characteristic in the complete list of all materials; it only searches for the data in the specified material.
If you do not make an entry in this field, the system searches the complete list of materials for the characteristic data when it creates a certificate.
Procedure
Enter an existing sort number if you want the system to search for the characteristic data in this material only.
Examples
Finished product "A" is manufactured from components "B" and "C." Among other entries, the list of materials "Data origin for characteristics from inspections" contains the following information:
No. Material
10 B
15 C
You enter the current characteristic 10 because this characteristic is inspected in material "B."
Dependencies
The sort number must already exist in the list of materials.
For a master inspection characteristic (category 1), the field refers to the list "Data origin for characteristics from inspections".
For a classed characteristic (category 2), the field refers to the list "Data origin for characteristics from batches".
The fields origin of results and origin of specifications must refer to the list of materials.
Notes
If you use the same master inspection characteristic in two different components, you can specify it in the certificate profile twice, but with two different sort numbers. This allows you include the data for both components on the certificate.
