Use
If you are processing a qualitative inspection characteristic for which the characteristic attributes indicator is set, you can assign up to 5 code groups or selected sets to describe the inspection characteristic or the inspection method.
If you are processing a quantitative characteristic or a qualitative characteristic for which the characteristic attributes indicator is not set, you can assign up to 4 code groups or selected sets to describe the inspection characteristic or the inspection method.
Procedure
Enter the identifier of a code group or selected set that is contained in the catalog type. To display a list of code groups or selected sets from which you can select one, enter an * in this field.
NOTE
You CANNOT assign selected sets from catalog type 1 to quantitative characteristics or to qualitative characteristics for which the characteristic attributes indicator is not set.
Dependencies
To assign selected sets, you enter an X in the field for the selected set indicator. To assign a code group, do not make an entry.
