Documentation
Definition
Calculated fraction of nonconforming units for an inspection characteristic, sample or inspection lot.
Supplementary Documentation - QANTEILC 0001
Use
If a characteristic has at least one tolerance limit, the defective share of the sample units is determined outside the tolerance limits.
The calculation of the share of defects for the inspection lot is based on the share of defects of the relevant characteristics.
Procedure
The share of defects for the characteristic or sample is calculated if you do one of the following:
- Choose the calculate shares function
- Valuate the characteristic (or the sample)
- Close the characteristic (or sample)
Dependencies
In the inspection plan you can define how the share of defects calculation is to be made. The calculation is dependent, for example, on whether measured values or the number of nonconforming units should be recorded for the characteristic, or on whether the characteristic has tolerance limits.
Supplementary Documentation - QANTEILC 0002
Use
If a characteristic has at least one tolerance limit, the share of defects is calculated from the share of sampling units that lie outside the tolerance ranges.
The share of defects for the inspection lot is calculated on the basis of the share of defects of those characteristics marked as relevant.
Dependencies
In the inspection plan you can define how the share of defects calculation is to be made. The calculation is dependent, for example, on whether measured values or the number of nonconforming units should be recorded for the characteristic, or on whether the characteristic has tolerance limits.
