Documentation
Definition
Key of the production version assigned to the recipe.
A production version determines which alternative BOM is used together with which task list type (task list) to produce a material or create a master production schedule for the material.
Use
Recipe management has not yet been integrated with the standard processes of SAP production planning. For this reason, you can assign a production version to recipes of the type master recipe and all customer-defined copies of this recipe type on the Structure view. This production version refers to the master recipe that can be used for production as well as the bill of material (BOM) in the standard system. You can only display the production version and master recipe of the standard system from within the recipe but cannot edit them.
Dependencies
If you use distributed systems in your enterprise, you can also access production versions that are stored in another system. This depends, however, on your Customizing settings for the recipe type.
