Definition
The trip duration can be subdivided into calendar days or 24-hour intervals for domestic and international trips respectively. For intervals that have been defined in this way, the accounting program calculates the respective meals per diems.
Examples:
German legislation allows the granting of tax-free per diem rates. Consequently, the trip duration is subdivided into calendar days.
Austrian legislation grants 24-hour per diems, calculated from the trip beginning on. The trip duration is therefore subdivided into 24-hour intervals.
Note:
In Austrian travel accounting, the constant REIIS in table T706_CONS makes it possible to change between the duration division in calendar days and 24-hour intervals depending on the length of the trip duration.
