Definition
International, standardized key of a country according to ISO 3166
Use
The entry is used in countries of the European Union for checking the Value added tax registration number (VAT ID). You can record the VAT ID in the master record of a customer, vendor, or company code.
You need to enter the ISO code in the ISO Code field in the country table of travel expenses (maintenance view: Define Trip Areas only if the key field Trip Country of this table is not filled with the ISO code.
Procedure
Enter the ISO code for each country (either in the key field Trip Country or in the ISO Code field). This is especially important when the country is a member of the European Union and if you perform VAT refunds for trip receipts from abroad.
