This field controls which depreciation period is the starting period for depreciation posting in a fiscal year. For assets that were already onhand at the start of the fiscal year, this is always the first period. For assets that were acquired after the start of the fiscal year, this is usually the acquisition period.
The field is automatically supplied with values by the the depreciation calculation program.
