Definition
Clearing differences up to the percentage rate specified here are accepted and posted by the system automatically. The percentage rate only applies if the difference is to be posted as revenue.
The percentage rate is applied to the maximum debit and credit total from the items to be cleared.
Note
In addition to the percentage rate, enter an amount in the field Debit. The lower of the two limits applies. If you only want to use absolute amounts and percentage rates, you have to enter maximum values in other fields.
Make sure that you define these limits for your G/L accounts and your employees. The lower of the two limits applies.
Example
The local currency is USD. In the field Debit, you have entered 30 USD and in the field Percentage, 1. For amounts up to 3,000 USD therefore, you accept a maximum difference of 1 percent. This means that, depending on the amounts in the line items involved, differences from 0 to 30 USD are tolerated. For amounts over 3,000 USD you accept a maximum difference of 30 USD.
