Definition

The system accepts and posts differences that arise during payment clearing up to the percentage rate specifie here. The percentage rate only applies if the difference is to be posted as an expense.

The percentage rate is applied to the maximum of the debit and credit totals for the items to be cleared.

Note

In addition to the percentage rate, enter an amount in the field Expense. The lower limit applies. If you only want to use absolute amounts or percentages, you have to enter the maximum value in the other field.

Note that you define these limits for your business partner and your employees. The lower limit applies.

Example

The local curerncy is DEM. In the field Expense, you have entered 30 DEM and in the field Percent, 1. For payment receipts up to 3000 DEM, you accept a reduction up to a maximum of 1 percent. This means that depending on the amount of the payment receipt, amounts from 0 to 30 DEM are tolerated. For payment receipts over 3000 DEM, you accept a reduction of up to 30 DEM.
