Enter a character string for the ID of the top program position to be created.
The IDs of all program positions that are generated after this point then contain this character string at the beginning their IDs. This character string is particularly useful for formatting all program positions. being generated. It is is for this reason that you can go from the entry help for this field to the coding masks that are valid for program positions (if any have been created). However, the system does not check the character string entered here against these coding masks, meaning that you can enter character strings that do not conform to the IDs of existing coding masks.
Since all program positions that are generated after this will contain this character string at the beginning of their IDs, the character string is limited to a maximum length of 5 characters.
