Documentation
Definition
Activates the requirement prioritization if you want to handle material requisitions in the supply chain in accordance with their urgency.
Use
The standard system contains an inactive data record that you can use as a template for activating the requirement prioritization.
- Select and copy the table row.
- Copy the default values for the requirement urgency and the requirement priority or define your own values.
- Set the activation indicator and choose Continue.
- Save your entries.
In the standard system, the values 99
(requirement urgency) and 255
(requirement priority) are proposed. If no requirement urgency exists or not all the relevant Customizing settings have been made, the system assumes that the material requisition in question has a low requirement urgency or requirement priority. If you change the default values in the table columns for the requirement urgency and requirement priority, make sure that the values you use in the IMG activities Define Requirement Urgencies and Define Requirement Priorities are defined.
Dependencies
Setting this indicator is the prerequisite for:
- Evaluating all the additional Customizing settings for requirement prioritization
- Displaying the fields for requirement prioritization in central transactions of purchasing, reservation, and materials planning
Caution
Once you have activated the requirement prioritization, you must not deactivate it. Otherwise, purchasing and reservation documents will be updated without requirement urgency and requirement priority.
