Use
Set this indicator if you want the system to base the demand for business event dates on existing prebookings received for the event type.
The demand for event dates to be planned is determined as follows:
The number of prebookings is divided by the optimum number of attendees defined for the event type. If the remaining number is less than the minimum capacity of the event type, the result of the division is not changed. If the remaining number is the same or greater than the minimum capacity of the event type, the number of event dates resulting from the division is increased by 1.
Example
A business event type whose minimum attendee capacity is defined as 5 and optimum attendee capacity as 10 received 43 prebookings. By dividing this number with the optimum capacity, the system determines a demand for 4 event dates. This number is not changed since the remaining 3 prebookings are less than the minimum capacity of the event type.
If there had been 4 prebookings for the event type, the system would have determined a demand for 5 event dates.
Note
You can specify a time period within which the prebookngs must lie. This period is taken as the basis for the demand determination (prebookings whose validity lies within the period specified).
If you specify no time period, the system automatically uses the period defined for the planning year.
