Definition
You can adjust price blocks to the actual billing period in the case of quantity-based block prices.
You have three control options:
- No adjustment
- Adjustment in the case of the same price key
Periods with the same price key are taken into account together. The blocks are adjusted to this common period.
- Adjustment in the case of the same price key and amount
Periods with the same amount within a price key are taken into account together. Each of the blocks are adjusted to these common periods.
- Adjustment by time slice
The price zones are adjusted for each time slice.
The adjustment occurs based on the interval specified in the portion and, if required, using the weighting key assigned in the price operand.
Important note
For block adjustment in the case of a season change, there is no separate control. If this is required, you must model this using different price keys.
Example
- The time category in the price is 01 (day) and the time basis is 365. The blocks in the price are as follows:
0 - 730: $6
730 - 1460: $4
1460 and above: $2 - Only one price key is specified without any amount changes.
If, for example, the actual billing period is only 270 days and the weighting key in the price operand is linear, then the blocks are adjusted to the ratio of the two periods: 270/365. This results in the following blocks for billing:
0 - 540: $6
540 - 1080: $4
1080 and above: $2
