Documentation
Definition
When posting a goods movement in accounting, the business area and trading partner business area are determined. You can overwrite these values, which were determined by SAP standard, at this time. The following data entries, however, are protected against modification:
- Business area in the material line
- Business area in the offsetting line, if the business area is not SPACE
The following parameters are transferred at the interface:
- The business area that was derived from the material
- The business area that was derived from the account assignment of the offsetting line
Note:
If this is an offsetting line of a material line (material transfer), it is a business area as well, which was derived from a material. - The current position of the document in process
Note:
All data is released to this position and can thus be consulted for determining the desired business area. You can find the SAP standard business area in field "-GSBER" and the trading partner business area in field "-PARGB". - The business area desired for the business area field
The following values can be used for this: - '0' = Do not modify
- '1' = Business area of the material
- '2' = Business area of the offsetting line
- The business area desired for the trading partner business area field
The following value can be used in addition to those values listed above: - '3' = SPACE
