Definition

Quantity of the goods movement in units of measurement.

Use

The field is obligatory and must contain a quantity greater than 0.

This field is not used for a goods receipt for the shipping element as each shipping unit number (together with the delivery number) is unique.

Use

  • The goods receipt quantity matches the order quantity or the delivery quantity (though underdelivery and overdelivery tolerances can be defined in the purchase order).
    The goods receipt is posted.

  • The goods receipt quantity is less than the order quantity or the delivery quantity.
    The goods receipt is posted. You can also set the Delivery Completed indicator for the purchase order.

  • The goods receipt quantity is greater than the order quantity or the delivery quantity.
    The goods receipt is not posted. A worklist is created for further processing by the responsible person.

  • The goods receipt quantity is greater than the open goods receipt quantity in the purchase order or the delivery.
    • If the quantity matches the goods receipt quantity that has already been posted, a goods receipt check with identical quantities is needed. Usinga user exit, movements can be evaluated.
    • If the quantity does not match the goods receipt quantity that has already been posted, a goods receipt check with different quantities is needed. A worklist is created for further processing by the person responsible. Other data can be evaluated at the same time using a user exit.
