Definition
The sales data transferred from the store systems usually relates to materials or material groups. However, POS inbound can also process sales items that do not relate to materials or material groups. If, for example, vouchers or services are sold, these do not necessarily have to be defined as materials in the ERP system. Instead, these sales items are transferred as text items in the IDoc. For this, the material qualifier 'TEXT' is to be used. The text transferred as the material material number in the IDoc is then interpreted in Billing, for example, as the material short text, even though the material does not exist in the system. To function correctly, these text items must be posted to a material group.
You define which material group is used for this purpose in this field.
