Definition
Flag: Copy tax and prices for all variants of the same generic article.
Setting this flag has the effect in the algorithm of the POS outbound processing that the tax flag and price are not redetermined for each variant of a generic article but copied internally. This can increase performance.
Background
It is essentially possible to maintain different tax flags for each variant of a generic article, as well as prices according to the price reference material (see the notes on the functionality of the price reference overwrite below). For this the POS outbound processing must redetermined the tax flags and prices each time correctly.
If a customer uses the same tax flag for all variants of the same generic article and defines prices only at the level of the price reference material, then this flag must be set.
Addition for Overwriting the Price Reference - Relevant from SAP Enhancement Package 5
The functionality of overwriting the price reference was implemented in SAP Enhancement Package 5 . This makes it possible to define separate prices depending on the related flag in the action type (see the field V_TWAA_EA_RETAIL-ALLOW_PMAT_IGNO) in combination with the analog flag on the article master (see the field MARA-ALLOW_PMAT_IGNO) for the actual price-dependent variants of a generic article within the action.
If this function for overwriting the price is used, then you must not set the "Copy Tax Flags and Prices for Vairants" flag documented here in the POS outbound profile because otherwise not all conditions can be processed adequately in the IDoc preparation.
