Definition

Fixed portion of the planned costs, shown in object currency or company code currency.

Use

Value of the fixed costs planned on cost objects. In Cost Object Controlling, the planned costs for a manufacturing order are generally obtained from the preliminary cost estimate for the manufacturing order. The cost object is debited with planned costs for materials consumed, activities consumed, and overhead costs in accordance with the costed quantity structure. The fixed portion of the planned cost is the cost which is independent of the operating rate and lot size. For example, setup costs are normally a fixed cost since they don't vary with the lot size.
