Definition

Controls how the packing instruction is used in the kanban control cycle.

Use

You can only use packing instructions that contain only one material.

If a packing instruction is entered in the control cycle, then the name of the load carrier is copied into the field load carrier in the control cycle.

When you enter Kanban quantity from packing instruction, always one load carrier per kanban and Kanban quantity from packing instructions, several load carriers per kanban possible, the cumulated target quantity is calculated from the packing instruction. The quantity is transferred from the control cycle.

Dependencies

Effects on the control cycle:

  • No functional use, packing instruction is a commentary
    No other effects
  • Kanban quantity from instructions, several load carriers possible

The use is the same for event-driven and classic KANBAN. If a kanban consists of several load carriers, the corresponding number of load carriers is determined by the number of kanbans.

  • Kanban quantitiy from packing instructions, always one load carrier per kanban
    • Classic KANBAN
    • Only quantity 1 can be entered in the load carriers. The system ignores all other entries and sets them to 1. A kanban is requested with a kanban signal.
    • Event-driven KANBAN
    • You can enter any amount of load carriers. The corresponding number of kanbans is calculated and requested on creating event-driven kanbans.
