Documentation
Definition
Indicator that activates the alerts for kanban control cycles in the alert monitor.
Use
Kanban control cycle alerts are generated in the following situations:
- If a change in the lifecycle status from Created to Released can be effected.
- If a change in the lifecycle status from Created to Locked can be effected.
- If a change in the lifecycle status from Released to Locked can be effected.
- If a control cycle can be deleted
- When an error message is issued.
No alert is triggered in the case of a successful status change or deletion of a control cycle.
You activate the alerts in the individual replenishment strategies. You activate the alerts for delayed replenishment elements under Logistics -> Production -> Kanban -> Activate Additional Functions for Control Cycles -> Activate Lifecycle for Control Cycle.
A separate category has been defined for kanban alerts in the alert monitor (transaction ALRTCATDEF).
You can also define an alert category of your own and use it with the Business Add-In BADI_KANBAN_MODIFY_ALERTS.
If you do not want an alert to be generated for one of the above-mentioned situations, in Customizing, choose Production -> Kanban -> Status -> Switch Off Alerts for Error Messages.
You can activate the alerts for control cycle changes on the initial screen Control Cycle: Change Lifecycle Status (transaction PKLCM ) using the Trigger Alerts indicator. To do so, you must first activate the alerts for control cycle changes and switch on the alerts for the relevant error message.
