Definition

Specifies that the system is to take account of the available capacity of the planning work center in the kanban calculation and calculate a trigger point for assigned materials.

Use

If you set this indicator, the system shows the Consideration of Capacity tab page in control cycle maintenance.

In the kanban calculation, the additionally system weighs up the capacity situation and determines a trigger point with the aim of reducing setup times and increasing the degree of capacity utilization by ensuring that materials of the same kind are produced together.

Dependencies

For the system to be able to take account of capacity, the following prerequisites must be satisfied:

• You have set the calculation type 1 on the Kanban Calculation tab page in control cycle maintenance.
• You have specified a planning work center on the Consideration of Capacity tab page.
