Definition
The floor area ratio (FAR) indicates the amount of square metres of floor area of a building per square metre of land area that are allowed.
Example: A floor area ratio of 0.6 is set for a one-storey development project in a residential area. If the land is 800 square metres, the floor area of the building must not exceed 480 square metres.
