Note

Field changes

The data in this field can be changed daily.

Time dependency

You can define this field as time-based in the configuration menu of Cost Center Accounting.

  • If you activate this indicator, you can maintain separate data for any number of different time intervals.
  • If you do not activate this indicator, you can make only one field entry valid for all intervals. If, however, you change a time-based field, you can enter a new value in the non-time-based field that is valid for the interval of the time-based field.

Supplementary Documentation - PFARD 0001

Use

If you do not enter a garnishment type, all garnishment types are evaluated.

Supplementary Documentation - PFEBANAME 9001

Procedure

On the time table screen for operation modes:

  • Display mode: In this column, you see the operation modes that are to be active for each one-hour time slot in the day. The day is either today (default) or another day that you have chosen.
  • Edit mode: Enter the operation modes you would like to have in effect during each one-hour time slot.

Examples

If you enter NIGHT for the time slots 2200 to 0600, then the system switches to NIGHT operation mode at 2200 and leaves NIGHT mode again at 0600.

If you are in "normal operation" mode, then the system will repeat these mode changes every day.

If you are in "exception operation" mode, then the system will make these operation mode switches only once, on the day that you have chosen.

Supplementary Documentation - PFEPFNAME 9001

Use

This displays the name and location of the default profile DEFAULT.PFL.

If you want to assign the same value to all application servers (for example the name of the database server where the message server is running), enter this name in the default profile.

The name of the default profile is always DEFAULT.PFL and cannot be changed. This profile is found, along with all other profiles, in the global profile directory of the SAP system.

Use

Here, you see the start profile that is currently in effect for each instance. Shown here are profiles that have been activated by way of the profile maintenance function - transaction RZ10.

If this field is blank, then the instance has been defined with a "native" start profile, one that has been created directly in the host file system, and which has not been activated with the profile maintenance transaction.

Procedure

If this field is blank, then the instance has been defined with a "native" profile, one that has been created directly in the host file system, and which has not activated with the profile maintenance function.

Unlike the period parameter, the time unit is the same for all countries. You can assign different period parameters to a time unit. In addition to the periodicity the period parameter also contains the validity start of the payroll periods.

Example

You define the period parameter 20 (weekly) and select the weekly time unit. You specify the 1st of July 2000 as the start of validity. The time unit then abstractly defines the payroll period as a week. The period parameter defines that every payroll period should be a week in your system and that the first payroll period should start on the 1st of July.

Supplementary Documentation - PFREQ 0002

Use

You define the duration of a cumulation interval using the payroll time unit.
