Definition
Here you define how the system handles absences for the short-term disability plan:
- quota per year- All existing STD absences for the same absence type in the same calendar year are linked and considered as one absence record. For example, if an employee was absent on short-term disability for three weeks in February of 1999 and then for another 10 weeks in July of 1999 then these 13 weeks would be considered two periods of one STD absence.
- quota per absence- If there are absence records within the period defined by the fields 'related' and 'unrelated absences', then these absence records will be linked and considered as one absence record.
- unlimited- There is no check at all for other previous absence records. Every absence record created is considered a new absence.
