Definition

Any amount paid by the employee to the employer to offset operating expenses incurred by the employer during personal use of the automobile by the employee.

If the employee reimburses the employer in the year or no later than 45 days after the end of the year for all operating expenses attributable to personal use, then no benefit will accrue for operating costs in the year.

If the employee reimburses the employer in the year or no later than 45 days after the end of the year for part of the automobile's operating costs, then the payment will be deducted from the calculated benefit.
