Definition
You can essentially use any of the characteristics of your operating concern as source fields when you create assignment rules, table callups or enhancements. The characteristics all have the name
CO-PA-XXXXX
where 'XXXXX' is the field name of the CO-PA characteristic. When determining the costing keys, the system fills these fields with the data from the CO-PA line item being valuated.
In addition, you can also use fields of the type
as source fields.
The maximum number of source fields in an assignment rule is six. This means that, in addition to the fixed source fields point of valuation, record type and version, you can include up to three more source fields.
Note that it is not possible to change the field attributes of the fixed source fields.
To create enhancements, you can use the following fields
CO-PA-BUDAT Posting date
CO-PA-WADAT Goods issue date
as additional source fields.
