Documentation
Definition
The arrangement calendar defines the validity end date of the rebate arrangement when it is created or extended. At the same time, this date represents the date of final settlement (if provision has been made for this).
This parameter allows you to choose rebate arrangements that need to be extended, for example, and which require processing at a certain point in time.
Use
Rebate arrangements with an arrangement calendar represent longer-term arrangements that are valid for several calendar years or indefinitely.
Such arrangements are initially set up in the system for a shorter period, e.g. for the current calendar or fiscal year. The initial rebate arrangement must be extended prior to the expiration of its validity period and prior to the creation of the first document in the new period (see note).
A new arrangement with an adjusted validity period is then created. The start date is the day following the validity end date of the arrangement that is to be extended. The new validity end date is determined by reference to the arrangement calendar (next marked day). The conditions of the preceding arrangement are adopted (validity periods are similarly adjusted).
A single longer-term, volume-based incentive rebate arrangement is thus replicated in the system by a series of separate rebate arrangements (e.g. one arrangement per calendar or fiscal year). The preceding or succeeding arrangements can be accessed from within each such individual rebate arrangement.
Examples
- The arrangement calendar 'AJ' (extension yearly) is supplied in the standard SAP System. By entering 'AJ', you limit the selection of rebate arrangements to those needing to be extended as the end of the year approaches.
- If you leave the field empty and mark the selection options "Individual value", "=", all those rebate arrangements without an arrangement calendar (i.e. which will not be extended) will be selected.
