Definition

Authorities in certain countries offer data carriers with information relating to commodity codes, where the special unit of measure is often saved in coded form.

Use

You can use this parameter to control whether the coded information on the special unit of measure should be converted into information that can be processed by the system or not.
Please check the data carrier first to see whether a conversion is necessary. Then set the parameters:

• 'X' : Carry out conversion. The special unit of measure is now encoded.
• ' ' : Do not carry out a conversion. The special unit of measure can be used directly in the system.

Example

The German Federal Office for Statistics offers a disk with commodity codes (SOVA file), which contains the special unit of measure in encoded form. Code '13' corresponds to unit of measure 'KG', for example.
