Definition

You use this parameter to control how the "region of origin" characteristic for the declaration to the authorities is determined.
The system usually copies the region of origin from the Foreign Trade data in the SD billing document into the declaration to the authorities. This region is the same as the region of origin stored in the material master unless it has been changed manually.

In some EU member states, the term "region of origin" as a geographical location of manufacture or substantial processing of goods equals another meaning. In France, for example, the region from which the goods are dispatched is the region of origin.

In the organizational structure of a company, the region of origin refers to the region of the plant.

Use

You can set the parameter as follows:

  • ' ' : The system copies the region of origin from the Foreign Trade data of the SD billing document.
  • 'X' : The system copies the region of origin from the region of the delivering plant.
