Documentation
Definition
Specifies the laws for controlling foreign trade in a particular country. Each legal regulation has its own license types.
Example
The legal regulations for foreign trade in the USA are defined in the Export Administration Act (EAA) and the corresponding Export Adminstration Regulations (EAR).
In Germany, the legal regulations for foreign trade are laid out in the Außenwirtschaftsgesetz (AWG) (Foreign Trade Act) and the corresponding Außenwirtschaftsverordnung (AWV) (Foreign Trade Regulations).
Use
Several different legal regulations may apply to one export transaction. Thus, during legal control processing, the system determines the appropriate license for each item in a document from each active legal regulation.
