Definition

You can choose five different update types:

• If you do not choose an update type, an update is performed automatically within the same period. For example, an amount is automatically updated from a schema step to the amount of the next schema step having the same period.
• Updating from previous periods to the current period and updating from the current period to previous periods; these update types are only relevant for backbilling and period-end billing. In this case, an update is performed from the corrrection periods to the current period, or from the current period to the correction periods.

Usage:

-> Structure of a billing schema with backbilling

• If you do not choose an update, then the output operand is not provided with values. In this case, the output operand merely generates dependencies for proration. This update type is used, for example, by discount variants.
• Updating to installation facts is used by the INFACT variants.
