Definition
The air buoyancy factor is sometimes needed to convert quantities between a volume and mass.
You can determine the value of the air buoyancy factor in the material master. This value is, for example, used for oil quantity conversion when the corresponding indicator is set for a transaction.
The air buoyancy factor serves to correct the calculated standard density by balancing out the difference between the density in a vacuum and at normal air pressure. This value is subtracted from the standard density before this density is multiplied by the volume to calculate the mass.
