Definition

The indicator is switched on if excise duty balancing is required. This allows the excise tax liability that occurs at one point (loading or issuing) to be compared to the tax charged to the customer and for any difference to be recorded to specified general ledger accounts.

If switched on, a balancing method (field BM) also has to be defined.
