Definition
Beside Transport and Distribution (TD) this field is only relevant for contracts. It indicates that no further deliveries can be processed for the call-off. When the flag is set, the call-off quantity is updated and the open quantity of the contract is also updated.
Within TD the field can also be entered with reference to deliveries and reservations. Regarding deliveries the update of the concerned sales (outbound) or purchase (inbound) order takes place at confirmation. Then no additional deliveries are expected for the related order items. The change of requests is updated in the material replenishment planning (MRP).
In case of stock transfers the meaning of the final delivery indicator depends on the business transaction. At loading the user can set the indicator to prevent the additional generation of outbound deliveries for the concerned purchase order. At delivery confirmation the flag indicates the final goods receipt for the purchase order item.
With regard to reservations the final delivery indicator is updated if the bulk shipment is either saved or confirmed. The update is also recorded in MRP.
