Definition
This indicator defines for the whole formula, how the intermediate steps of the formula evaluation are performed, that is, the calculation mode:
- If the indicator is not set, the calculation mode is value based.
This means that the Formula & Average evaluation is based on values ( specified in [ currency ] ) as intermediate steps. This calculation mode was the only one available prior to IS-OIL release 4.6B. - If the indicator is set, the calculation mode is rate based.
This means that the Formula & Average evaluation is based on rates (specified in [ currency / (pricing unit * unit of measure ) ] as intermediate steps.
The setting of the indicator will also effect the result of the evaluation, because in the different calculation modes different rounding steps are performed.
Depending on the setting of the indicator, only certain values for the calculation type of all formula line items within a formula are allowed:
- If the indicator is not set:
Only the value <SPACE> is allowed for the calculation type. - If the indicator is set:
Only the values 1,2 or 3 are allowed for the calculation type.
