Definition
This field determines how the system will convert prices using the Exchange Rates Table (transaction OB08): if an average currency rule is entered, the system will convert using an average exchange rate determined over a defined period.
Alternatively, a daily currency rule may be entered and conversion will then be based on an exchange rate determined on only one day.
If an average currency rule is entered, the average period must then be defined in one of two ways.
Either: Fix the 'from' and 'to' dates (both must be entered)
Or: Use the group of fields:
- Curr reference date
- Curr reference date offset
- Curr time unit of measure
- Curr period before
- Curr period after
- Exclude event date
If an average currency rule is entered, the factory calendar has to be entered to determine which calendar will be used to define weekends or holidays for the currency exchange rate dates.
