Definition
This field contains the rounded average surcharge rate, calculated from all converted daily surcharges for the average period. This rate is calculated based on a combination of currency, pricing unit, and unit of measure.
The average surcharge rate is calculated using the leading combination of currency, pricing unit, and unit of measure for the corresponding formula item. Depending on the selected calculation type for the formula item, the leading combination is determined from the combination of the quotation or of the formula.
If the combination of the surcharge itself is 'leading', no conversion and therefore no averaging is performed. In such as case, the field contains the rounded surcharge.
This field is only used and filled in the case of rate-based Formula and Average evaluation (new since release 4.6B).
The surcharge (which is effectively a rate) becomes day dependent and must be averaged, if the surcharge is converted from one currency to another currency and if the currency exchange rates used for that conversion change within the different days of a period used in the evaluation.
Example
You specify the surcharge 20,000 ITL / TO for a 3 days quotation period.
If this surcharge should be is converted to USD on a daily basis, you get the 3 surcharge rates :
10.00 USD / (1 TO)
11.00 USD / (1 TO)
9.87 USD / (1 TO)
The sum of the 3 daily surcharge rates is:
10.00 + 11.00 + 9.87 = 30.87
[all values in USD / (1 TO)]
Therefore the average surcharge is 30.87 divided by 3, which is 10.29 USD / (1 TO)
(in the system: '30.87000000000000' and '10.29000000000000') .
If the average surcharge is rounded up to 1 decimal, you would expect a rounded average surcharge of 10.30 USD / (1 TO).
This field contains the value '10.30000000000000' , which represents an accurate and intermediate calculation result with a fixed number of 14 decimals.
